Racing Talks

 Adam and Richard Bowers would like to do a series of three consecutive race related Wednesday evening zoom talks. Starting this Wednesday 24 February 7.30pm.  

The subjects they would like to cover are as follows:

Wed 24 Feb at 7.30pm

    1: Starting. The new season “starts” here.

Wed 3 Mar at 7.30pm

    2: Leeward mark rounding. The next beat starts here.

Wed 10 Mar at 7.30pm

    3: Strategy: The plan of action starts here.

Adam will make sure the topics relate to dinghies and keelboats alike.  We will be using video as well as Adam standing in front of the camera. 

To make the sessions as interactive as possible, Richard will be monitoring the chat on zoom and will pass any questions on.

I hope as many of you who are able will come along and support Adam and Richard - they look like very interesting evenings

Basso Cup. 31st July & 1st August

 Notice of Race The Basso cup is one of the oldest and most revered trophies in the Castle Cove Treasure chest. This year the dinghies will contest for the Basso cup in a series of four races.  When more than three races have been completed a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score. The keelboats have the opportunity to race a long distance race on Saturday afternoon.   Castle Cove Sailing Club Open Day  Saturday 26th June 2021 Our Clubhouse and grounds will be open to visitors and members alike from 10.00 until 16.00. Everyone is welcome so do come along and enjoy a day out at your remarkable local Sailing Club.
