Dorset Triangle. Three is a magic number.

 Good morning All,

This weekend, alongside the normal Sunday racing, we are hosting the Dorset Triangle.



This is an event where we invite dinghy sailors from Sutton Bingham Sailing Club and Lyme Regis Sailing club to join us for the afternoon and we work out a team result based on the top three boats from each club.

The format for the dinghies will be three races back to back with the first start at 2pm.  There will also be 2 races from the Z class with first start at 2:05pm.




Looking at the forecast, a decent sea breeze should have established by start time and will hopefully be stable enough to get three races in without shifting around too much.

After racing it will be tea and cake on the veranda as usual.

p.s. The return legs are always fun too.  It is a great way to meet other sailors and see what other clubs do.

Basso Cup. 31st July & 1st August

 Notice of Race The Basso cup is one of the oldest and most revered trophies in the Castle Cove Treasure chest. This year the dinghies will contest for the Basso cup in a series of four races.  When more than three races have been completed a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score. The keelboats have the opportunity to race a long distance race on Saturday afternoon.   Castle Cove Sailing Club Open Day  Saturday 26th June 2021 Our Clubhouse and grounds will be open to visitors and members alike from 10.00 until 16.00. Everyone is welcome so do come along and enjoy a day out at your remarkable local Sailing Club.
