Champagne sailing at Castle cove tonight..

 P course certainly had the dinghy fleet working hard especialy when the wind shifted and made for more gybes...

Andy and Tia Adler showed the fleet a clean pair of heals butvJock and Andrea Fellows kept them just close enough to win on corrected time. 

In the Laser fleet it was a very close race between Lucy Bishop and Steve Green with Steve winning by 15 seconds.

With 50% of the keelboat over the line at the start (guilty) we had a race on our hands. 

I had to take this photo of the Commodore as he was very kind and didn't luff us as we went past. Without his spinnaker he could have made life very difficult for us.

Basso Cup. 31st July & 1st August

 Notice of Race The Basso cup is one of the oldest and most revered trophies in the Castle Cove Treasure chest. This year the dinghies will contest for the Basso cup in a series of four races.  When more than three races have been completed a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score. The keelboats have the opportunity to race a long distance race on Saturday afternoon.   Castle Cove Sailing Club Open Day  Saturday 26th June 2021 Our Clubhouse and grounds will be open to visitors and members alike from 10.00 until 16.00. Everyone is welcome so do come along and enjoy a day out at your remarkable local Sailing Club.
